Cohort Program in Counseling

Beginning Fall 2007, at the Orland Park Campus

The School of Education will begin offering a cohort program in School Counseling at the Orland Park Campus. Cohort programs have been designed with busy individuals pursuing a graduate degree in mind. Graduate programs offered in cohort model provide convenience with the emphasis on cooperative group work and individual and project-based learning. A group of students with similar professional goals take a set sequence of courses and work collaboratively toward their purpose. Other advantages of a cohort program include discounted tuition and guaranteed course offerings.

The School Counseling program prepares graduates to work with diverse student populations in a variety of school settings. Completion of this program leads to the Illinois Type 73, School Counseling Certification.

For more information about the new counseling cohorts, call the Orland Park campus at 708-802-6200.
