The hospitality industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Opportunities for employment and career advancement are plentiful for those students prepared to study and learn the techniques they need to move ahead. At the Graham School of Management we believe that the hospitality industry is distinguished by the human element. We have designed a curriculum that focuses people servicing the diverse needs of others in a highly competent and respectful manner.
Our program focuses on the critical core competency that encompasses all fields of hospitality management. Though a culture of service excellence is essential to long-term success of organizations, it is easily ignored or compromised resulting in low success rates in the service industries. We recognize the human challenge of creating a culture of service excellence, which delivers exceptional and outstanding service on a highly consistent basis and have designed a concentration to address these challenges.
Our program focuses on developing this culture, maintaining it through carefully designed human resource practices, and communicating the benefits through effective marketing strategies. Technical knowledge necessary to deliver outstanding service will not be ignored and sound financial planning and control practices will be important course topics. Students will also complete our well-rounded business core that will further assist them in their career.
