
This faculty led study abroad program to China is offered during the week of spring break and is a full 3 credit hour MBA level class. The program incorporates classroom instruction with three meeting Orland Park campus prior to the trip and then a visit to two cities in China – Beijing and Shanghai. This course examines the issues, policies and practices of management that characterize global business activities with particular emphasis on how employees are managed in china. Guest speakers will provide applied and practical knowledge to complement the readings assigned for this course. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to visit several organizations in China in order to learn firsthand key principles of management practiced in China.

The group will reconvene during the week of 3/29 to reflect on the experience and present final projects/papers.
Students stay in double rooms in four star, Best Western style hotels. Single rooms are available for a supplementary fee.

$1,181.00 Program cost includes local transportation within China, lodging, breakfast and dinner daily, excursions including museum entry fees, tourist visa and emergency medical insurance. Roundtrip international airfare and 3 credit hours tuition are not included in the program cost. Tuition associated with the Spring course is paid separately during Spring I 2010 registration.
