Dr. Richard Venneri
Associate Provost
The Office of the Associate Provost supports and coordinates long-range academic planning consistent with the University's Strategic Intentions. The primary mission is to attend to the continuous improvement of an institutional infrastructure which promotes curricular improvement, faculty vitality and the maintenance of high academic standards.
Toward this goal, the Office provides support services and mechanisms by which faculty can work collaboratively toward the improvement of instruction and the advancement of learning. Through the development of programs both on- and off-campus, the promotion of departmental services, the creation of high quality instructional space and advancing supportive academic policies, the Office promotes faculty renewal activities and faculty-student collaborative projects through its grant programs.
The Office seeks to improve access to existing resources that support teaching or to assist in the expansion of resources when absent. In support of teaching excellence, the Office seeks to provide a perspective on the national, regional and campus teaching environment; gather and analyze relevant data; and use that information to assist the institution into developing new programs and a reliable strategic planning process.
Additionally, the Associate Provost is designated as the administration's contract manager for the collective bargaining agreement with University faculty.
