About the Festival
Junior/senior-level women's choral ensembles from area high schools are invited to participate in this one-day choral festival, designed to establish healthy singing habits and improve vocal technique while enjoying the company of other high school and SXU women singers and learning about style and performance practice.
A generous amount of time will be spent learning about healthy vocal technique and then applying what is learned to the choral literature chosen for the festival. Singers will come to the festival having learned notes and rhythms!
To participate in this event, please fill out the printable registration form and mail it to Jan Bickel at Saint Xavier University. Following receipt of your completed reservation form, detailed information will be sent to you. The registration deadline has been EXTENDED; please apply.
Please note: Because space is limited, we can accept a maximum of 65 singers for this Choral Festival.
Your reservation includes festival t-shirts, lunch, a full day of events, including the opportunity for your best senior-level singers to audition for a solo on the concert and/or a SXU music scholarship. The concert is open to the public and a reception will follow the 4:30 p.m. concert.
