Music Jazz Ensemble

Prerequisite: Audition.

The Jazz Ensemble performs a wide variety of big band literature including Swing Era classics from the Count Basie Band, Duke Ellington Orchestra and others; Latin, funk and fusion numbers; and compositions and arrangements by modern big band composers. This group rehearses on Thursdays from 3:30-6 p.m. and is open to all University wind, string, piano and percussion players of traditional jazz instruments.
