Men's Ensemble

The University Men's Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Jan Bickel, splits off from the University Chorale in order to study and perform both sacred and secular repertoire specifically written or arranged for men's voices in two to four parts.his ensemble welcomes SXU students, faculty, staff and talented community members.

When active, they present at least one concert per semester in addition to performances requested on and off campus. The singers rehearse on Monday or Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. 

They have performed concerts in collaboration with the University Women's Ensemble, performing music such as Aaron Copland's Old American Songs, John Wesley Work's arrangement of Go Tell it on the Mountain, Randall Thompson's Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, John Leavitt's arrangment of Ose Shalom, and Kurt Bestor's Prayer of the Children.
