Nan-Nan Lee joined the philosophy faculty at Saint Xavier in August 1988. In addition to her Ph.D. in philosophy, she has a MSW from Loyola University at Chicago, and is a LCSW practicing in the State of Illinois. Her research interests include critical theory of T. W. Adorno, psychoanalytic theories, contemporary social/political philosophy, and classical Chinese philosophy.
Recently, Professor Lee presented "Philosophical Counseling or Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy: Philosophical Assumptions and Implications" at the Central Division of the APA (April 2008). Her current work-in-progress is in the area of Freud's influence on Adorno and Adorno's conception of philosophy. She recently finished translating "Freud in der Gegenwart," and "Die revidierte Psychoanalyse" by Adorno.
