GSM Scholarships

The Graham School of Management at Saint Xavier University thoroughly prepares students to serve as leaders in the business industry. Many have graduated from our GSM programs, successfully going on to work as business professionals regionally, nationally and globally. GSM would like to reward these students, both undergraduate and graduate, with financial aid.

Saint Xavier offers a wide range of scholarships available to students University-wide and to students who fall into certain parameters like a specific major or academic year. There are a variety of other scholarships are also offered outside of Saint Xavier, which we call outside scholarships, that you may be eligible to receive based on the establishment's requirements. Undergraduate Scholarships

Elizabeth Hunter Service and Leadership Award

The Elizabeth Hunter Service and Leadership Award was created in memory of the mother of Dr. Joyce Hunter. Elizabeth Hunter was a lifelong advocate of service, hospitality and fostered the leadership skills of both friends and family. The award recognizes the outstanding contributions of a graduating student who has contributed to the success of the Graham School of Management through their personal commitment and enthusiasm for the betterment of its student body, academic or co-curricular departments, student organizations, the community and the University as a whole.

Students may be nominated for the award by Graham School of Management faculty, administrators, staff and other students or may nominate themselves. Each nominator is asked to include a paragraph that explains why they feel a given candidate should receive the award. Once nominations are received the administrative team of the school will meet to review the nominations and select a recipient.

Jim McCabe Scholarship

The Jim McCabe Scholarship was established to honor the memory of longtime Graham School of Management faculty/staff member Jim McCabe. Jim was well known for his kindness and generosity to Graham School of Management students. The Scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated service to the University and community and who is in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or above.

Tim Eber Memorial Scholarship

The Tim Eber Memorial Scholarship is in memory of Tim Eber, son of Dean Emeritus John Eber and his wife Fran. Tim was a highly successful Sales Executive and business owner before he died at age 40 in 2012.The scholarship fund was created in Tim's honor by his parents, family, and faculty, staff and corporate friends of the Graham School. The scholarship is given annually to a junior or senior GSM student who exhibits the character, energy, and entrepreneurial spirit that characterized Tim's professional and personal life.

Chicago First Responder Scholarship

Saint Xavier University has developed the Chicago First Responder Scholarship as a gesture of gratitude for the educational partnership between Saint Xavier University and the Chicago Police Department that began in January 1998. Our continued educational partnership with the Chicago Police Department has provided Saint Xavier University a unique and significant service opportunity and responsibility. Our academic program assists and guides Chicago First Responders to better serve their community and their profession. This partnership exemplifies Saint Xavier University's commitment to supporting Chicago First Responders who make such a difference in our community. We are grateful for your service.

GMAT 600 Plus Scholarship

Students who have a GMAT Score of 600 or higher are eligible to apply for the GMAT 600 Plus Scholarship. This scholarship is available for students beginning a graduate program in the Graham School of Management in the fall semester or the spring semester. Awardees will receive 40% off of their tuition.

National Society of Hispanic MBA's 1/2 in Kind Scholarship

The National Society of Hispanic MBA's 1/2 in Kind Scholarship is available to all GSM students of Hispanic descent who are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Students must have a minimum undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0 and submit a letter to the Director of Graduate Programs stating their current financial situation and explaining how the MBA degree will enhance their career goals.

Sisters of Mercy Scholarship

The Sisters of Mercy Scholarship is available for all GSM students pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Students must be able to document a change in financial situation; i.e., loss of job or unexpected medical expenses and submit a letter to the Director of Graduate Programs stating their current financial situation and explaining how the MBA degree will enhance their career goals.
