Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)
In its commitment to teaching ethical values and corporate social responsibility, and its belief that its own organizational practices should serve as example of the values and attitudes it conveys to its students, the Graham School of Management is an advanced signatory of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). PRME is a United Nations Global Compact sponsored initiative launched in 2007 with the mission to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally. The PRME provides a framework for business schools and universities worldwide to adapt teaching and research methodologies to the new challenges and opportunities facing business in the 21st century. The Graham School of Management, an AACSB accredited institution, is devoted to the worldwide promotion and continuous improvement of higher education in business administration and management, and as a signatory to PRME, the School is a member of an international group of institutions in the commitment to encourage social responsibility in the creation of a sustainable global economy.
David Parker, assistant professor of business law, serves as a facilitator of the PRME program at the Graham School of Management. The School's partnership with PRME is included in the Graham School of Management's strategic plan. And the School reports annually to PRME on its efforts.

The PRME Principles
Purpose: We will develop the capabilities of students to be future generators of sustainable value for business and society at large and to work for an inclusive and sustainable global economy.
Values: We will incorporate into our academic activities and curricula the values of global social responsibility as portrayed in international initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact.
Method: We will create educational frameworks, materials, processes and environments that enable effective learning experiences for responsible leadership.
Research: We will engage in conceptual and empirical research that advances our understanding about the role, dynamics, and impact of corporations in the creation of sustainable social, environmental and economic value.
Partnership: We will interact with managers of business corporations to extend our knowledge of their challenges in meeting social and environmental responsibilities and to explore jointly effective approaches to meeting these challenges.
Dialogue: We will facilitate and support dialog and debate among educators, students, business, government, consumers, media, civil society organisations and other interested groups and stakeholders on critical issues related to global social responsibility and sustainability.
