You are a teacher. You are also a leader. Receive the Teacher Leader Endorsement, which acknowledges your above-and-beyond contributions.
Have you led curriculum committees? Participated in your school improvement team? Provided professional development to your colleagues in an area in which you excel? Assumed other support work delegated by your principal?
Saint Xavier University was among the first universities to receive program approval for the Teacher Leader Endorsement by the Illinois State Board of Education. Receive this state endorsement from the institution that understands teachers should be recognized for their continuing leadership.
- master's of arts: teaching and leadership (MATL)
- two years leadership at the school level
- standard or master certificate
- recognized as expert in taught subject matter
