SXU OnCampus Housing
Fall Semester Abroad Participants
Current SXU students residing on campus who plan to study abroad during the fall semester are required to withdraw from housing for the semester they are traveling abroad. At the same time, if they plan to return to housing in the next semester (spring), they should complete a housing contract (form available in the Residence Life office) prior to departure. The signed housing contract will be their only guarantee of a space for the future semester.
Spring Semester and Academic Year Abroad Participants
Current SXU students residing on campus who plan to study abroad for the spring semester or one academic year are required to withdraw from housing for the semester or year they are traveling abroad. At the same time, if they plan to return to housing in the next academic year, they should complete a housing contract. The signed housing contract will be their only guarantee of a space for the future semester. Students will have the opportunity to appoint a "proxy" during the Room Lottery Process if they have a roommate request who is currently in the housing system. If they do not have a "proxy," they will not be guaranteed a particular space.
