SXU Sponsored Study and Service Abroad Programs
SXU organizes faculty-led, short-term study abroad programs and service projects for undergraduate and graduate students. For credit, short-term study abroad programs are part of a 3 credit-hour course, with a required one- to two-week travel component during spring break, May term or December/January.
Non-credit bearing programs abroad are service projects led by SXU faculty/staff of one to two weeks in duration. These projects allow students an opportunity to serve communities outside of the U.S. while learning about another culture. Students are required to participate in several pre-departure meetings and one post-program session led by the program director.
Participating in a short-term program is a good way to fit an international experience into a busy school or work schedule.
