Eligibility Requirements
SSP is open to undergraduate students who meet the following requirements:
- Citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Admitted to a baccalaureate degree program at SXU
- Demonstrate a need for academic or other support
To participate in SSP, a student must:
- be a first generation college student (neither parent nor guardian has a bachelor's degree), and/or
- have a low family income, and/or
- have a documented physical, emotional or learning disability
There are a limited number of spaces for this program. Applicants will be selected if they meet the above criteria and demonstrate a commitment to be an active participant.
Active participants must meet the following requirements:
- Attend at least one SSP sponsored workshop, cultural event or LOC event per year
- Complete semester reviews with a SSP staff member each semester
- Review mid-term progress reports with a SSP staff member each semester
