The cost of each exam is $72.00 and is payable only with a credit card (Mastercard/Visa/ Discover/ American Express) plus a $20.00 non-refundable administration fee payable to Saint Xavier University, by way of cash check or money order. To reserve a testing appointment time, please contact Michelle Keller, Coordinator of Testing at (773) 298-3012 or stop by the O’Grady Center (110th & St. Louis). You will be asked to submit the $20 fee upon signing up (this fee will secure your appointment). Test candidates are allowed to change their appointment to another available date; however there is a $5.00 fine if the request is made less than 24 hours prior to the originally scheduled appointment. SXU students can access online CLEP books and practice exams through the Saint Xavier University Library following the steps below:
CLEP’s website sells the test program’s official master study guide book, as well as individual exam study guides that may be downloaded for a fee.
The guide will give you a bare bones description of the exam and will list the knowledge and skills required, as well as sample test questions. However, to study the specific content of the test it is strongly suggested you get a textbook in the subject area.
