1. What makes SXU different from other universities?
I would have to say that what makes Saint Xavier University different from other universities is their faculty and staff. As a university, we are dedicated to our student’s success. Our professors are very hands on with our students and are always willing to help. We are one big family here at SXU!
2. My best advice about getting admitted and enrolling in college…
I would definitely suggest that a student write a personal statement. Talk about your academic experience thus far and how you plan to improve that once you get to college. Also, make sure you visit different types of schools. It will help you discover what you like and dislike and therefore making your decision easier.
3. What are favorite places to eat near the SXU campus?
Some of my favorite places to eat around Saint Xavier University would be Portillos, Francesca's, Magic and Wonder Burger. Not the healthiest options, but they sure do have great food!
4. What is your favorite season in Chicago? Why?
I would have to say fall is my favorite season in Chicago. I love seeing the leaves change, especially because the area surrounding SXU has so many tree lined streets!
5. My favorite part of the SXU campus is…
My favorite part of the SXU campus is Lake Marion. I love going there with my daughter and feeding the geese.
6. What was my major in college and why did I choose it? How has it helped me do my job at SXU?
My mom always told me that I had the gift of gab. So, I decided to double major in Public Relations and Media Studies. I think my majors have helped me out greatly at my current position because I have learned how to be comfortable with public speaking.
