Lifelong Learners Scholarship
The School for Continuing and Professional Studies at Saint Xavier University is awarding scholarships to students exemplifying leadership skills that reflect the University's core values. The University's mercy heritage as embodied in its mission statement seeks to educate men and women to search for truth, to think critically, to communicate effectively, and to serve wisely and compassionately in support of human dignity and the common good.
The Lifelong Learners Scholarship Program assists mature individuals of special promise to achieve their educational goals by securing a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
The scholarship is $1,000 per academic year and will be issued in a two-semester period. It is renewable contingent upon maintaining a 2.5 grade-point average. The recipient is required to enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours in a semester. Applications are accepted and reviewed in July for fall semester and November for spring semester.

Lifelong Learners Scholarship Requirements
- Applicant must be an admitted student of Saint Xavier University. The recipient is required to enroll for a minimum of six credit hours in a semester.
- Applicant must be working toward first undergraduate bachelor's degree (major of study must be declared)
- Applicant must demonstrate academic ability with a grade-point average of 2.5 or higherApplicant must submit current resume or personal history
- Applicant must submit a personal statement of one page stating why the scholarship is important to their academic, professional and personal goals, while recognizing how the University's core values may influence their life as a student at Saint Xavier University
Application Deadline
The deadline for fall term applicants is July 15, and the deadline for spring term applicants is November 15. All application materials must be postmarked or received by these dates. Applications received after the deadlines or incomplete packets will not be considered for the current semester.
Scholarship Amount and Selection
The scholarship amount is $1,000 per academic year ($500 per semester). The Lifelong Learners Scholarship Fund will issue awards on the basis of academic, professional and personal achievement and application content, to the extent funds are available.
Review Process
A selection committee (a panel of staff and faculty representing the School for Continuing and Professional Studies) will review all applications and make a decision by July 25 for fall applicants and November 20 for spring applicants. Applicants will be notified by mail the status of their application. The scholarship will be awarded through the School for Continuing and Professional Studies. Applications received after the deadlines or incomplete packets will not be considered for the current semester.
