The Dean’s Fund for Faculty Development makes possible a competitive allocation of professional development funds to be awarded to full time or portion of full time faculty at the discretion of the Dean under guidelines set by college faculty.
The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences invites proposals for faculty development funding. Funds may be requested to support activities including, but not limited to, the following:
Applications should not exceed 750 words (excluding budget), and should include the following information in clearly labeled sections:
Awards will range from $500-$2,000. The number and dollar amount of awards granted will depend upon the number and quality of applications received. Full-time and Portion of Full-time Arts and Sciences faculty are eligible. All proposals will be reviewed by a faculty committee that will make its recommendations to the dean. The Committee members, appointed by the dean, will represent the three constituent units of the School: Humanities; Math/Sciences/Computer Science; Social & Behavioral Sciences.
Deadline for receipt of completed application: November 1, 2007
Awards will be announced in December
Note: All expenses to be covered by these funds must be incurred prior to the end of the current fiscal year, June 30, 2008.
