  • Committee Web site
    • Stacy Dean remains available for updates. 
  • AOD Web site
    • Per Barbara, links on the Admissions’ Parents page is in progress
    • John reported on his review of the Admissions’ Students pages and found that an AODP link would not fit until at least 3 pages in.  Barbara will also review the student pages for appropriate places to link AODP
  • Athletics Link
    • Derek reported that Bob Hallberg preferred the AODP link to be a part of a variety of Student Life links.  Derek will be following up with Bob to confirm this plan.
  • April Events Update
    • Brian reported that between 325 – 380 students, a record amount, participated in the April activities.  Both Brian and Sarah reported that the nursing and psychology students were very helpful and responsible in planning and implementing the activities.
    • Brian also reported that other departments volunteered to link their events to the month’s topics, i.e. Cara Weber advertising Late Night at the Shannon Center as an alcohol-free event.
    • Committee agreed to work towards posting pictures and a summary report of the activities on the AODP Web site.
  • CORE Survey
    • Barbara reported on her discussions with Kathleen Carlson regarding fully utilizing the previous survey’s results and planning for administering the survey again
    • Committee discussion focused around
      • possible inclusion of some CORE questions on a proposed campus-wide assessment the university may undertake
      • structuring the normative data to include similar institutions instead of all Illinois schools
      • ways to use the data to plan and evaluate programs and activities
      • continued consideration of Spring 2006 re-administering of CORE
    • Barbara will invite Kathleen Carlson to attend the next meeting
  • FOCUS/AOD Table at Road to Success
    • Brian will be staffing an AODP table at the Road to Success and will work with Carrie Schade to have it grouped with other Student Life tables
  • Brochure Marketing Materials
    • Committee discussion on working with University Relations to create an AODP brochure for upcoming orientation and other events.
    • Information to be included in the brochure include the mission, 2004-2005 activities, and photos
    • Derek will be sending Barbara the costs from a recent Athletics brochure printing for a cost estimation
  • Other Topics
    • Next meeting set for June 7th at 10 a.m.
