Cash bar at the President's Ball. December 1st at the Hyatt Regency, Chicago
- Student event to celebrate 160th Anniversary of SXU.
- Hoping to have 500 students attend.
- Carrie Schade is putting together committee to plan event.
- John Pelrine came to ask AODP opinion on cash bar.
- Ideas discussed
- How can we encourage and support responsible drinking behavior?
- We can control SXU students of age consuming alcohol by printing list from Colleague of students attending in advance with date of birth. Students of age could wear bracelet so bar staff would be aware of who was of age.
- Are off campus students invited? How do we control consuming alcohol?
Biennial Review
- Modified the word “Mission” to “Vision.”
- Members should review on own and send any comments to Sarah. We will revisit at next meeting.
- Revisit idea of designated driver program.
National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week
- Week of Monday, October 16.
- Basically same events as last year with one addition: information table, Thursday night alternative, Alcohol 101Plus, plus one additional student event co-hosted with an RA.
