Minutes October 16, 2007

    1. Alcohol Awareness Week:  October 21 – 27
Some bulletin boards have been put up by RAs in the Res Halls.  Table tents will be made with alcohol and drug prevention facts and placed in the dining hall at the end of this week.  Events will be advertised on SXU Today, signs, table tents and side walk chalking in front of the Res Halls.  The events planned are as follows:

      • Tuesday, Fatal Vision Obstacle Course, 9pm.  The Quad.  Students will wear fatal vision goggles while trying to ride tricycles through an obstacle course.  Also will be handing out root beer floats – have purchased root beer keg and plastic steins to hand out to students with facts along the side of the cup.

      • Wednesday – Root beer pong, 9:30pm.  Regina Hall.  Educational material will be available to distribute to students.

    2. BACCHUS Info Meeting
One student came to the meeting.  Michelle has invited her to attend AODP meetings in the future before committing to the initiation of BACCHUS.

    3. CORE Data/ ACHA Survey
Jill presented us with some data, but is sure to have more available in the future.  The ACHA survey is complete.  More information about what reports can be generated to come.

    4. Started talking about Alcohol Awareness Month.  Rae Joyce had a Web site with information about a potential speaker:
http://www.bass-schuler.com/Riders/Brett_bio.htm (Not the site you gave me, Rae Joyce, but that one wasn’t working for me.)

Next meeting:  Tuesday, November 13, 3:30pm.  Mercy Ministry Chapel
