
Ekeler begins his first season at SXU as head coach after spending one season as an assistant coach and five years as head coach at St. Pius X High School in Lincoln, Neb. As an assistant in 2007, Ekeler was primarily responsible for the Cougar defense, which allowed just 19 goals over 24 games and posted 10 shutouts. The SXU defenders earned four all-conference, four all-region, and four All-American honors during the 2007 campaign. From 2003-2007, St. Pius X compiled a 79-10 overall record, five district titles, two state championships, two state runner-up finishes, and two NSCAA National Top 20 ratings. This team also set 14 team and 21 individual records.
Fifteen St. Pius X players earned All-State recognition during Ekeler's tenure and 24 went on to play soccer at the collegiate level. In addition, Ekeler has been twice nominated for the Nebraska Coaches Association Soccer Coach of the Year (2004 & 2005). He has the following licenses: United States Soccer Federation National D License, National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advanced Regional and Goalkeeping 1 license, and a NSCAA Regional License.
Ekeler is pursuing his master's degree in secondary administration at SXU. He married his wife, Susan, on June 23, 2007. The couple reside in LaGrange, Ill.
Jambor begins her first season as assistant coach for the Cougar women's soccer program in 2008. As a former women's soccer player at SXU from 2000-03, Jambor enjoyed a successful career in which she was a two-time NAIA Region VII Scholar-Athlete, a NAIA Academic All-American, and a second-team All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) selection. When she wrapped up her career in 2003, Jambor was the fifth all-time leading scorer in SXU women's soccer history with 24 goals and 38 assists for 86 total points.
After leaving Saint Xavier, Jambor served as head junior varsity and assistant varsity girl's soccer coach at Tinley Park High School in Tinley Park, Ill., from 2003-06. Since 2003, she has also been a coach for the Darien Dynamo, a club soccer team based out of Darien, Ill. In 2007, Jambor was the freshman boy's soccer coach at Hinsdale South High School. She holds a National "D" coaching license.
Jambor is currently a seventh-grade teacher in Berwyn, Ill., and lives in Jefferson Park, Ill. She graduated from Saint Xavier University in 2004 with a degree in psychology and also has a master's degree in special education.
