Awakenings creates an opportunity for you to become more fully awakened to the ever-present love of God. By allowing you to step out of your normal routines, Awakenings provides a space for reflection on your own life. Take a weekend to renew and deepen your relationship with God and to make meaningful connections with others. Student leaders present talks on the weekend, and there is ample opportunity to pray , reflect, and share with your peers in small groups.

Come, accept the challenge to awaken to life with a renewed commitment to love, integrity, and faith.

Invite your friends. Come, make new friends. Awakenings is a Christian-based retreat to which students of all faiths are welcome.

  • Retreat begins Friday, October 31, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
  • Retreat returns Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Bus departs from Mercy Ministry Center
  • Cost: $30, payable to Saint Xavier University
  • Financial aid is available for need-based students
  • Registration and payment is due by March 1st
  • Space is limited - register early!

What to bring

Manitoqua provides double occupancy rooms with bedding and linens.
Please bring:

  • Clothes for two days and nights
  • Warm outerwear for outdoor activities
  • Personal stuff, toiletries
  • Shower things
  • Flashlight
  • Pajamas
  • Slippers or indoor shoes
  • Journal and/or bible (optional)

Cancellation Policy

The $30 fee is non-refundable, but can be applied to future retreat programs.
In addition, a $50 fee will be assessed to the student's account for cancellations after March 5th.
