We are looking for Chapel Choir Vocalists and Musicians, Liturgy Planning Team Members, Lectors or Dramatic Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Greeters/Ushers and Sacristans.

Practice every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. before 8:00 p.m. Liturgy--all are welcome any Sunday.

PrayerStained Glass

McDonough Chapel is open for private prayer and meditation during the academic year Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday until 5:00 p.m. During the summer the Chapel is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Special prayer services take place during the Seasons of Advent and Lent, including Reconciliation and Healing Services. Ecumenical prayer services are held for the Anniversary of September 11th, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Founders' Day and other special events.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered to individuals Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the Chapel Reconciliation Room following noon liturgy.   

SXU Communal Prayer is a weekly ecumenical and interfaith gathering for all members of the SXU community.  A different member of the faculty, staff or student body will lead a short service of prayer and reflection every Wednesday at noon during the academic year.
