The SXU Alumni Career Network!
While the Alumni Mentoring Program was a terrific way to facilitate networking for career information and opportunities, the staff of Counseling and Career Services is extremely excited about a new and exciting direction in which the program is moving to help students and alumni connect faster and easier than ever before!
The SXU Alumni Career Network, powered through Cougarjobs.com, offers students and alumni access to networking contacts and alumni mentors with convenience and ease. All current alumni mentors and those alums interested in joining the new Alumni Career Network are asked to register on Cougar Jobs and enter themselves as an Alumni Career Contact.
Only registered students and alumni can access their preferred contact information through the site.
Benefits to students and alumni:
- Students will continue to have the benefit of the wisdom and mentoring of professionals in their field.
- Alumni contacts can access their profile at any time and update or change contact information, and even limit the amount of times they would like to be contacted in a given month.
- A new dimension to the program allows Alumni Contacts to also search for jobs at the site or post open positions they may have in their own organizations.
And as always, we often recruit participants from the SXU Alumni Career Network for career related functions and informational panels on campus.
