Binge Drinking

Definition

Women: 4 or more drinks in a row at least once during a 2-week period.
Men: 5 or more drinks in a single sitting at least once during a 2-week period.

Occasional Binge Drinker:
Student who binge drinks one or two times during a 2 week period.

Frequent Binge Drinker:
Student who binges three or more times during a 2 week period.
(23% of all students; they consume 72% of all alcohol on campus; account for over 60% of the most serious alcohol-related problems)
