Get Involved with SXU Students – Shape the Future

Employer feedback and involvement is essential to the success of SXU students and the Counseling and Career Services office. The following activities allow you to enhance a student’s classroom curriculum through “real world” experiences and advice.

Practice Interviews

Students spend the day in practice interviews with employers from the business sector. Employers critique participants on their interview style, resume and dress. Hearing feedback from “real” employers is as valuable as anything they’ll learn in the classroom.

Job Shadowing

Allows students to explore a particular occupation or industry by “shadowing” an employer for a full- or half-day. This lets students see how their academic studies translate into the world of work.
