Purpose Statement

The mission of Counseling and Career Services is to offer a broad range of comprehensive educational and career services, including individual guidance, group training, classroom presentations and developmental programs/events. Services are delivered by a counseling and placement team made up of professional staff, paraprofessionals and trained student assistants. The team uses a holistic approach to life and career, which are inextricably connected and works from a strong theoretical base consistent with the concept of life skills education. With respect for the needs of each individual student, the staff teaches/counsels a diverse student body about the skills they need to make responsible and satisfying life decisions and choices and to achieve their personal and professional goals.
