Center for Academic Technology

The Center for Academic Technology is a new unit under the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. The unit is headed by the Director of Instructional Technology. The center works closely with other units on campus, such as the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, Media Services, Library Services and Information Services to provide faculty development activities for all learning communities on campus.

Mission Statement

The Center for Academic Technology's mission is to provide instructional technology support to all learning communities in Saint Xavier University. The center facilitates the use of technology in teaching and provides support to faculty members integrating technology in course offerings

Goals

  1. Provide an enabling environment for the use of instructional technology in teaching and learning.
  2. Provide timely and appropriate information on technology resources to faculty.
  3. Establish and maintain a supportive relationship with faculty in technology integration.
