The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning provides pedagogical, professional and personal renewal and growth to faculty in all stages of their careers. These core objectives reflect the mission of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and have allowed for creative growth and innovation through the years. The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning strives to:

  • Strengthen and support teaching skills of faculty at all stages of their careers
  • Foster interaction and collaboration among faculty and students from all disciplines
  • Encourage scholarship and professional growth among faculty
  • Increase awareness of our intercultural connectedness and broaden global awareness in faculty and students
  • Increase interest and involvement in curricular development and change
  • Sustain and increase the level of support for faculty development by writing and administering external grants
