The Chemistry Department recognizes outstanding student achievement through four annual awards.

The Chemical Rubber Company Chemistry Achievement Award is presented to the student who is a declared chemistry major who earns the highest composite grade in CHEM 111 and CHEM 112. Both CHEM 111 and CHEM 112 must be taken at Saint Xavier University. The student is awarded a copy of the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.
The Dr. K. Lucille McCluskey Chemistry Award is presented to the student (or students if a tie occurs) who earns the highest composite grade in CHEM 111 and CHEM 112. Both CHEM 111 and CHEM 112 must be taken at Saint Xavier University.
The Margaret E. Yates Chemistry Award is presented to the student (or students if a tie occurs) who earns the highest composite grade in CHEM 251 and CHEM 252. Both CHEM 251 and CHEM 252 must be taken at Saint Xavier University.
The fellowship program is designed to provide students with practical laboratory experience essential for professional growth in science related careers. Science students selected for the fellowship will receive a tuition scholarship. Students must have at least a 2.75 GPA. The student fellows work a minimum of five hours per week during each semester as a laboratory assistant in the Chemistry Department.
