Programming in Word Finding: Deep Assessment and Comprehensive Intervention

Program Description

This 2-day seminar will focus on assessment and intervention procedures in child word finding. Specific outcome goals include the examination of an explanatory model of lexical processing that lead to word-finding assessment and intervention. Participants will also review contemporary methods for assessment of word-finding and become familiar with mnemonic retrieval strategies to aid word finding of academic and social vocabulary. The presentation will also address issues of word finding accommodations in the classroom.
