National Science Foundation Grant

Saint Xavier University's Computer Science and Computer Studies Programs have just received a National Science Foundation grant to offer scholarships to qualified Computer Science and Computer Studies majors. View criteria information for the scholarship.

Sylvia M. Schlunk Award

The Sylvia M. Schlunk Award was established by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in 1991 in memory of Sylvia, a valued colleague, excellent teacher and friend.

This $1000 award is given annually and can be applied toward tuition, fees, room, board or living expenses. It may also be used toward tuition for a summer course.

Requirements:

  • Junior status.
  • Enrolled for a minimum of 12 semester hours the following fall.
  • Be a declared major in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Computer Science or Computer Studies.
  • Have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or Computer Science.
  • Have completed or have in progress 12 semester hours in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or Computer Science at Saint Xavier University.
  • Seniors who are completing their second semester in the fall and carry at least 6 hours may also apply.

The application includes a question which requires a 1-2 page response written by the applicant.

Applications will be available from the instructor by March 1st. Applications are available in the Math and Computer Science Department Office, Room N-302, Warde Academic Center. View the online application (PDF).
