Computer Science Study Abroad

One month IT internship in Bangalore, India from mid-November to mid-December 2008.  Earn three credit hours for the internship plus three credit hours toward foreign culture requirements.  Use financial aid to pay for airfare.

  It is the Silicon Valley of India, home of many IT companies and much outsourcing.
• What kind of internship?
  Meet with professionals in the field.
• Why go to see our competition?
  We mustn’t view this as competition. Outsourcing is here to stay. Many of you will enter careers where you have to communicate with the outsourcers. This will look really good on your resume.
• Where will we stay?
  Dorm-type accommodation.
• Will there be a problem with language?
  No, most people there will speak English.
• Will there be time for fun?
  Definitely, we will go sightseeing. Also, this is a large city so there are clubs, movies, etc.
