Job Submission Procedures
- A Print Services Requisition must be filled out when presenting an order, including the six-digit department number. Please put in writing any special requirements needed. Jobs may be dropped off or picked up at either location until 5:00 p.m. There is a slot in the door of the Mailroom/Processing Center for after-hours drop-off of non-confidential jobs.
- Jobs with multiple originals must be numbered before submission. The number must be placed on the back of the originals lower right corner. Any job not numbered will be returned.
- A ½ inch margin must be left on all sides of the originals.
- Except for exams, all work will be done back-to-back. Exceptions should be discussed with the Print Shop Manager.
- The quality of the originals will determine the quality of finished work. Please submit clear, clean, proofed originals for best results. Copy Cats (Print Services) is not responsible for proofreading.
- Originals on colored paper may not reproduce as well as black and white originals.
- Blue ink and pencil do not reproduce well. Please use a black pen for signatures, to ensure the best copy quality.
- Copy Cats will call as soon as the job is completed.
- Work may also be submitted via a new e-mail address printshop@sxu.edu. Print Services students do not have access to this e-mail account.
- Work may also be dropped off at the Mail & Print Distribution Center (Mailroom) to be delivered to Copy Cats on the next scheduled mail run. Mail runs will be scheduled for four runs per day with the first at 10:00 a.m. the last one at 4:45 p.m.

Confidential Materials
Tests and other confidential materials require special handling. The Print Services Manager, the Print Services Coordinator or in an emergency, the Press Operator will take in exams at Copy Cats. Copy Cats student employees do not take in or release exams. To ensure confidentiality, they will then be run by the Manager or the Coordinator and kept in a locked cabinet until it is picked up. Exams may also be dropped off or picked up via the Mail & Print Distribution Center to the Mailroom Manager, the Mailroom Clerk, or a full time staff member who will place them in a locked box until they are delivered to Copy Cats in the Driehaus Center on the next mail run. Exams will be returned to the Mailroom in sealed envelopes with tamper-proof tape; this security tape will not be available in the Mail & Print Distribution Center.
No exams will be released to a student.*
*Exams may be dropped off at either location by faculty or staff until 4:45 p.m. This policy has been implemented to ensure that no student workers have access to confidential materials and exams.

It is capable of integrating up to three different colors and/or paper weights into one document and of programming several exceptions (i.e. chapter start and cover) into a document. The Xerox Docutech 6100 is available for jobs requiring between 15 and 200 copies of two or more originals and of single jobs needing 15 to 200 copies. Satellite Copier Locations
- Satellite copiers now require that each user must be programmed into the control unit before copies can be made.
- Student workers are assigned separate access codes from faculty and staff. This is a security feature to prevent unauthorized copying. Please treat it as such and do not give your codes to someone else.
- Please notify Print Services of any changes in personnel so that the copiers may be updated (added or deleted) accordingly.
