The School for Continuing and Professional Studies at Saint Xavier University recognizes that education can occur outside the classroom environment through work or personal experience.
Students can earn up to 27 undergraduate college credits for life/work experience from company-sponsored training, military training and/or community service. Students are required to develop a portfolio documenting evidence of personal and professional experiences that is consistent to college level work.
Students who seek credit through the development of a portfolio must complete the Portfolio Development (1-credit hour) course (FOSEM 110). Information may be obtained from the office of Advising & Educational Planning Services or by contacting Janis Lawrence.
