Professional Studies

Public Administration Track

The program provides an introduction to the public administration field while developing highly marketable skill sets.  Courses are designed to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to plan, implement and evaluate public programs.  Graduates of the program will be able to work in government, profit/nonprofit organizations and private sector businesses.  Their training would help their respective organization be effectively prepared to deal with local and global issues.

The bachelor of arts in professional studies with a concentration in public administration provides a variety of opportunities for adults who are establishing new careers, completing a degree or enriching their personal or professional skills.

Transfer Students

If students are transferring without an A.A. or A.S. degree, the Office of Records and Registration Services will create a program evaluation that will analyze the requirements for graduation. Some educational plans will need adjustments based on application of coursework to the program. Students may need to satisfy additional elective credits, which can be accomplished through CLEP, portfolio, Excelsior and/or ACE credits.

Prior Learning Credit

If you have previously attended another institution, or if you have military or work experience, you could receive valuable university credit.
