SCPS Curriculum Committee

The SCPS Curriculum Committee will provide guidance to the Dean with matters regarding curriculum and administrative policies that are responsive to the needs of the undergraduate adult population at Saint Xavier University.

Committee Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of academic programs, thus following the philosophy and mission of Saint Xavier University.
• Review Liberal Studies major by addressing and recommending:
• Course structure/ content of major
• Learning outcomes/objectives (defining specific skills and knowledge requirements)
• Assessment
• Review “adult” core curriculum and its policies by addressing and recommending:
• Structure/content of curriculum
• Course substitutions
• Learning outcomes/objectives (defining specific skills and knowledge requirements)
• Assessment
• Review and recommend proposals for new majors and courses.
