Core Activities

The core activities of the Center for Religion and Public Discourse include the following:

• The ongoing discourse itself within the University community, and between the University and the local communities.
• Scholarship and research and
• The public dissemination of the fruits of its discourse, scholarship, and research.
  While sponsoring the discourse itself, the Center does not necessarily support the positions of its guests. Neither does the Center take positions on issues of public policy or debate.

Ongoing Discourse

• Organizing conferences
• Holding seminars
• Sponsoring lectures and artistic presentations
• Organizing panel discussions
• Holding teaching events
• Offering opportunities for prayer and liturgical expression

Scholarship and Research

• Undertaking research, alone or in collaboration with others
• Supporting research and scholarship

Public Dissemination

• Publishing scholarly works
• Displaying or performing artistic work
• Promoting the Center's scholarship and scholars in the media
• Making presentations to the University community and to the public
