Charitable gifts reward donors in many ways. You can experience satisfaction in supporting a worthy cause and in the excitement of seeing your gift make a positive change. Following are some of the vehicles a donor can use to make a gift to Saint Xavier University. Gifts of Cash

Gifts of cash are the easiest and most direct way to give to Saint Xavier. There are a number of ways to make your gift:

1. Make a credit card gift online.
2. Call (773) 298-3317 and charge your gift to Visa, MasterCard or Discover.

Gifts of Securities

Giving stock through electronic transfer is the easiest method when a donor maintains holdings in a brokered account. Depository Trust Company, or DTC, is the clearinghouse for electronic security transfers. Each brokerage firm has a specific DTC number. When you wish to make a gift of stock, provide the following information to the transferring broker:

Please alert the Development Office at Saint Xavier before the transfer so that the University can make arrangements with its broker to receive the stock. At the same time, please indicate the purpose of the contribution, such as an annual gift, a pledge payment or funds for a planned gift.

Gifts by Electronic Transfer of Funds

Charitable contributions may be wired electronically from a benefactor’s personal or professional bank account to a Saint Xavier account. Call the Office of Development at (773) 298-3317 for more information.

A Tribute Gift… to honor or memorialize a loved one

A Tribute Gift is a meaningful expression to honor or memorialize friends, relatives or colleagues, while at the same time supporting Saint Xavier University. When you make a Tribute Gift to SXU, the person or family you designate is immediately sent a letter acknowledging your gift made in their name. The amount of your gift is shown only on the receipt mailed back to you.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Matching gifts can double or even triple your personal gift to SXU. Under a corporate matching gift program, your contribution to Saint Xavier University is matched with your company's or corporate foundation's funds. Many companies also match gifts made by spouses of employees and those retired from the company. Ask your employer about its specific requirements and ways to utilize its program. Matching gifts count toward the University's giving societies.
