Staff Handbook

Saint Xavier University's Staff Handbook (PDF) has been prepared to inform you about Saint Xavier University's history, philosophy, employment practices, policies and benefits. It supersedes all previous editions and represents our effort to condense useful information into a single source. Although this handbook covers a wide range of topics, it is not in all cases a complete and detailed record of procedures, benefits or policies. Be sure to contact the appropriate office(s) when you have a question concerning any particular issue. This handbook is intended only to be a guide to official policies; it does not in itself confer contractual or other legal rights and obligations, nor is it intended to convey a guarantee of continued employment.

Saint Xavier University’s policies, benefits, and rules may be changed from time to time in response to legal, economic or other compelling considerations. Only officers of the University have a right to alter policies. In all but urgent circumstances, the University will consult with affected staff and faculty 45 days prior to implementation of any proposed change, so that Staff Council can collect comments and advise the President.
