Total Hours

53 hours (52 hours with 0/hour Senior Transitions option): this is calculated by taking the overall number of hours listed, and subtracting 6 hours for the two courses—the First Year Seminar and the Interdisciplinary Seminar—that can double count).

The Diversity Studies, Global Studies and Community-Based Learning requirements specify that students must take courses that count for these areas over the course of their undergraduate education, whether in general education or the major.  They do not add hours to the general education program.
