Professional Activities and Experience

Dr. Eber has been involved in planning and managing undergraduate and graduate business programs for thirty years.

This included positions as Assistant Director of Graduate Programs for the Graduate School of Business at DePaul University, and MBA Program Director, Dean of Graduate and Continuing Education, and Chair of the Business Division at Benedictine university.

Dr. Eber became Dean of the Graham School of Management at Saint Xavier University in 1997. He also holds the academic rank of Professor.

Dr. Eber's professional activities have been in both higher education and in industry. On the academic side he has been a consultant to a large number of colleges and universities on business program development and evaluation, strategic planning, business accreditation and student learning outcome assessment.

Dr. Eber has been involved in a leadership role in the accreditation processes of the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

He has chaired multiple accreditation visit teams, served on the Board of Commissioners for six years (one as chair), the Board of Directors, the national By-Laws and outcome Assessment Committees, Regional President, and was one of the four authors of the Standards for Accreditation that are currently in effect.

Dr. Eber led the faculty process which resulted in the ACBSP accreditation of the Graham School Business Programs.

Dr. Eber's industry experience includes work with the President's Forum, corporate consulting, and membership on corporate boards of directors.

The President's Forum is an organization that facilitates peer advising between corporate presidents and senior managers from different companies. Through the President's Forum, Dr. Eber has worked with Presidents, Chief Financial Officers, Marketing V.P.'s and Operations Managers of over 70 different companies over the past 15 years.

Dr. Eber has engaged in consulting projects for companies such as Yanmar (Japan), Molex, Inc. Electro Motive Division of General Motors, and Continental Illinois National Bank (now Bank of America).

He served on the Board of Directors of Haumiller Engineering, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hydrosol Inc.

Dr. Eber's primary teaching area is Managerial Accounting. He also teaches Marketing and Strategic Management.
