Professional Activities and Experience

My legal practice concentrates on railroad tax issues. My clients have included Union Pacific Corporation, Illinois Central Railroad, Chicago NorthWestern Railroad, Santa Fe Railroad, Southern Pacific, Norfolk Southern, Emons, Rail Management and Consulting, Port of Galveston Railway, and others. I am currently retained as an expert witness in a criminal federal railroad tax case based in the Northern District of Illinois.

In addition to tax litigation, I actively consult small businesses and clients in strategic planning. This includes business planning, estate planning, tax planning, financial planning and legal planning.

Publications

My past publications have focused upon tax and business law issues. My current interests center on theories of efficient capital markets.

Community Service

1989 - 1990 Elected as the Republican Nominee for the position of State Representative in the 28th Legislative District.
1989 - 1995 St. John Fisher School Board member and officer.
1977 - Present Lector, St. John Fisher Catholic Church.
