Master of Science

The Master of Science degree program allows students to achieve a greater degree of concentration and customization than the MBA.

Working with an advisor, students will be able to create a coordinated sequence of seven related elective courses and six required core courses for a total of 39 hours.

  1. Any necessary Foundation Modules. (1 credit hour each)
  2. The following core courses: (9 credits)
BUSGR 530 Statistical Methods for Decision-Making (3)
BUSGR 570 Government, Business and Society (3)
BUSGR 590 Strategic Management (3)
  1. Any three of the following courses: (9 credits)
BUSGR 500 Management Theory and Application (3)
BUSGR 510 Managerial Economics (3)
BUSGR 520 Managerial Accounting (3)
BUSGR 521 Managerial Finance (3)
BUSGR 531 Management Information Systems (3)
BUSGR 560 Marketing Management (3)
  1. Courses to complete one of the following concentrations: (12 credits)
  1. A coordinated sequence of three additional electives to enhance the concentration and meet career goals. (9 credits)

Prerequisites

A solid foundation in business is essential to maximize the benefits of MS courses. If you do not have undergraduate coursework in certain business areas, our one-credit Foundation Modules will prepare you for graduate courses.

Scheduling

GSM courses are offered evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of working professionals. Four ten-week terms are scheduled throughout the year, providing students with the option of completing their program in a timely manner.

Location

Courses are offered throughout the year at two convenient locations. The Chicago Campus is located at 3700 West 103rd Street, Chicago, IL 60655 and the Graham School building is located at 3825 West 103rd Street, Chicago, IL 60655.

The Orland Park Campus is located at 18230 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, IL 60467.
