Master of Science in Public and Non-Profit Management

The Master of Science degree program allows students to achieve a greater degree of concentration and customization than the MBA. Working with an advisor, students will be able to create a coordinated sequence of seven related courses and six required core courses for a total of 39 hours.

BUSGR 570 Government, Business and Society
BUSGR 590 Strategic Management and Policy
  1. Any three of the following courses: (3 credit hours each)
BUSGR 500 Management Theory and Application
BUSGR 510 Managerial Economics
BUSGR 520 Managerial Accounting
BUSGR 521 Managerial Finance
BUSGR 531 Management Information Systems
BUSGR 560 Marketing Management
  1. Concentration courses: (3 credit hours each)
SOCGR 570 Theory and Practice of Social Change
BUSGR 572 Issues in Service Management
BUSGR 574 Best Practices in Service Management
  1. A coordinated sequence of 4 courses (12 hours) of related electives to enhance the concentration and meet career goals.

These courses could include additional Issues courses or can be used to focus on Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, Health Administration, general management skills, or any combination that supports related career goals.
