Saint Xavier University offers a variety of graduate opportunities in health administration - both certificates and degree programs allow students to choose the right direction for their own careers.
The graduate certificate programs of the Graham School of Management may be taken alone or may be used as part of a graduate degree program. Many students start with a certificate program (four courses) and then decide about whether to proceed with a degree. Below is a brief description of each program offered through the Graham School of Management.
The Master Of Business Administration with concentration in Health Administration is a comprehensive program designed to meet the diverse and changing needs of students and employers. Students complete 8 or 9 courses of an extensive management / administration core and 4 courses in health administration. The required MBA common core represents an integrated curriculum providing both practical applications and a strong foundation in management theory.
The Master Of Public Health (MPH) is designed to provide in-depth, practical, career-enhancing graduate education. The program considers difficult ethical, political, economic, and legal issues that determine resource allocation. The 12 core MPH courses, along with a coordinated sequence of one elective course, provide both breadth and depth in issues related to public health and health administration.
The Master Of Science In Health Administration is a program that allows the student to tailor a program in health administration to include another area of business such as marketing, human resources, finance, etc.
The MPH/MBA with concentration in Health Administration is a dual degree program in which both the MPH and the MBA degrees are earned with completion of five additional MBA core courses and three additional electives chosen in collaboration with an advisor beyond the MPH requirements.
MBA/MS In Nursing The MBA/MS in Nursing is a 63-65 credit hour dual degree program offered by the Graham School of Management and the School of Nursing.
The Certificate In Managed Care (CMC) is designed for professionals in or preparing to enter the health care industry. The Certificate courses may be applied to Graham School graduate degree programs — MBA, MPH or MS.
The Employee Health Benefits Certificate (EHBC) is designed for professionals in or preparing to enter the health benefits field.
