Lost and Forgotten IMail Password

E-mail accounts are created for all new SXU students. A random initial password is assigned and mailed to your home address. An option on your main menu allows you to change your password at any time.

Information Services does not keep records of users' passwords. Further, your password is encrypted so we cannot find out what it is.

If you lose or forget your password, Information Services can assign a new one. To have your password reset, bring your Saint Xavier ID to John Springer in Room S-121 or Bill Rogers in Room L-109D during regular office hours.

If you do not attend main campus, or do not attend during the day, we can send you a new IMail password by U.S. Mail. To request new password please e-mail or call Bill Rogers rogers@sxu.edu, (773) 298-3295.

IMail passwords are not given out over the phone or sent by e-mail. This is for your protection as it is not possible to verify the identity of a caller or someone using an external (non-SXU) address.

Returning SXU students use the same e-mail account and address that they used in previous semesters. E-mail accounts are not created and removed on a per semester basis; each student's account is generated at the beginning of his or her first semester at Saint Xavier.
