Using CLAWS to Make Payments
Access Claws through any browser at https://claws.sxu.edu. Or just click on the Cougar on the SXU home page (www.sxu.edu). Next, click on Students on the left hand side. You have many choices:
Click on Make a payment. Read the SXU Privacy and Security Policy. You cannot proceed without Accepting the terms of our policy.
You will be asked to Login to Claws. Use your login and PIN as assigned.
Read the statement and scroll to the bottom to click Accept. Unless the terms are unacceptable, then click Decline. Payments can always be made in the Business Office during standard University Business Hours.
We reserve the right to amend this policy from time to time. If we make any changes in the way we use your personal information, we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on this page.
Log into Claws with your Username and Password
You will see your Account Balance. Click your preferred method of payment.
If you Pay By Check:
- Click Continue if your browser meets the standards (click Help, and About on your browser menu to confirm).
- Fill out the on-line form and follow the screens.
Clicking Accept is your electronic signature to comply with the policy you read. You then will be brought to your balance and method to make a payment:
Fill in the appropriate information. The amount you wish to pay, the credit card type, the credit card number, the expiration date with month and year. Click Submit when done. Please do not click submit more than once. Doing so will result in multiple payments being made against your account.
You will receive a confirmation page. Please print this for your records. You also will receive an e-mail to your SXU IMail account confirming you’ve made a payment.
It’s that simple.
TMS Students cannot use this feature.
If you wish to assign a Guardian to Make a Payment for you, click on Add/Remove Guardian Access on the Students Menu and fill out the appropriate information. This feature allows a student to assign an individual to make payments via Claws. There is another security compliance policy that must be accepted to do so. Your acceptance is your electronic signature of compliance.
