Wireless Authentication

For Faculty and Staff

In order to provide a secure wireless networked environment, Infrastructure Services has implemented the use of Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)  and Service Set Identification (SSID) for faculty and staff. This is a best-effort attempt to restrict unauthorized access to Saint Xavier University networked resources. To maximize the integrity and availability of the wireless network, do not share the SSID or WEP key with anyone. The public SSID, SXUNET, does not require authentication.

Authorized Use & Access

This WEP key is solely intended for the distribution and use of faculty and staff of the University. This key is not be duplicated or given to any persons not affiliated with the University and or students. Illicit use of the wireless network will trigger an immediate response from Information Services .The inappropriate access to and use of information and communications systems can in many cases result in criminal prosecution and civil litigation. Please see the Acceptable Use Policy for further information.

You will be prompted to log in using your SXU domain user name and password in order to view the staff SSID and WEP key.
